# PinSharing affiliate program

Earn 20% of what the customers you refer pay for their first 12 months.

## How it works

1. [Create your affiliate account](https://pinsharing.com/affiliates/join) with just your email (no API key or setup) and apply. Tell us how you'll tell people about PinSharing. Already a customer? Use the same email.
1. We review applications within a few business days and email you.
1. Share your link, `pinsharing.com/r/yourcode`, in tutorials, videos, newsletters or client projects.
1. When someone signs up within 60 days of clicking it and buys a plan, you earn 20% of every payment they make for 12 months.

## What you earn

Commissions are on what the customer actually pays, after any discount and before tax. Yearly plans earn 20% of the yearly payment. Free plans and trials earn nothing until the customer pays.

## Payouts

- Each commission is held for 30 days, so refunds can be taken into account.
- We pay on the 15th of each month by PayPal or Wise, once your balance is $50 or more. Smaller balances roll over.
- Before your first payout, email your tax form to billing@pinsharing.com: a W-9 if you're in the US, a W-8BEN if you're not.
- Your dashboard shows clicks, sign-ups, paying customers and your balance. It never shows who your referrals are.

## Who it suits

Developers who write tutorials or make videos about maps, agencies and freelancers who build real-estate, listing or directory sites, and newsletter writers for developers or proptech.

## Not allowed

- Referring yourself, your own company or accounts you control.
- Bidding on "PinSharing" or similar words in search ads, or using them in domain names or social handles.
- Coupon, deal or cashback sites, and publishing discount codes.
- Reselling or brokering PinSharing plans or API access.
- Spam, or saying things about PinSharing that aren't true.

## Questions

**Do the people I refer get a discount?**

No. They get what everyone gets: the Free plan, a 14-day Growth trial with no card, and plans that never bill for overage.

**What if they already have an account?**

Commissions are for new accounts. A customer is credited to the affiliate whose link they last clicked, within 60 days, before they created their account. That never changes later.

**Can I send people to a page other than the home page?**

Yes: add `?to=/pricing`, `?to=/docs` or `?to=/tools` to your link.

**How do I ask a question?**
